Matt has been coaching youth and prep players for 10+ years and excels with instruction to youth players. Matt's coaching philosophy is centered around the development of fundamental skills and overall athleticism. Teaching proper mechanics, skill development and correcting body movements leads to an effective skill set on the field. Having an effective skill set leads to success on the field.

Matt played college baseball at the Division I JUCO level at South Suburban College and had a heralded high school baseball career at Tinley Park High School. As a stand out pitcher, he was named to the All-Area team as a Sophomore and was an All-State Honorable Mention in his Junior year. After an injury shortened his senior season, he dedicated himself to developing proper mechanics and incorporating more lower half drive. From first hand experience and dedicated research, Matt understands the importance of proper throwing development, recovery and strength development that leads to healthy progressing baseball players.

Matt is a certified coach by the NFHS and IESA . He currently coaches a youth travel baseball team and coaches in several showcase events for youth and prep divisions throughout the country.
